Startup CAFE is an entrepreneur-led networking and accountability meetup.

One of the biggest challenges for entrepreneurs and business owners is staying focused and accountable to grow their businesses beyond day-to-day operations. Startup CAFE addresses this by providing a simple meeting format that helps entrepreneurs problem solve and keep each other accountable to their goals!

The meeting is held every two weeks and anyone from the community is welcome to attend!

Purpose Statement:

The purpose of this meeting is 1), to provide a consistent networking opportunity for entrepreneurs in the Albany region, 2), to help you solve problems and challenges with your business, and 3), to help you stay accountable on a bi-weekly basis to your entrepreneurial and business goals.

7:45-8:00 AM: Setup, networking, purchases
8:00 AM: Welcome & Introductions
8:20 AM: Problem Solving & Discussion:
8:40 AM: I Will Statements (S.M.A.R.T. Goals) & Accountability
8:55 AM: Close Meeting, informal networking

Startup Café Rules for All Participants:

— Please try to support the venue by purchasing a drink or meal from them.
— Choose inclusivity as your default attitude. Allow this to be a safe place for everyone.
— Do not share business information discussed unless permission has been given.
— This is not a place to market your service. Come with the attitude of giving, not getting.
— Limit how long you talk and give everyone a chance to speak. Keep your suggestions short.
— Don’t “should on” people. Offer advice but don’t boss. Suggest ideas, don’t demand actions.
— Allow people to disagree with you. Respectfully challenge ideas you disagree with.
— Have fun and grow your business!
